Bushings must be designed to withstand high and low temperatures, mechanical static and dynamic loads or a combination thereof, slow/fast front overvoltages, and harsh environments. In this regard, it is interesting to compare behavior of resin-impregnated paper bushings equipped with HTM composite or RTV coated porcelain housings and non-HTM uncoated porcelain.
